Reliability Built Into Every Step,  Not Checked at the End

In industries where performance and uptime are critical, reliability cannot be an afterthought. It must be engineered into the product from the very first concept. At ClickTouch, this philosophy guides every decision we make, from early design choices to final production testing.

For more than 40 years, we have refined a validation approach that ensures every solution we deliver meets the highest standards of consistency, durability, and long-term performance. Our structured EVT/DVT/PVT process gives us full control over quality at every stage of development.

Reliability isn’t something we hope for. It’s something we prove.

A Structured Validation Flow for Maximum Confidence

To guarantee dependable performance, every ClickTouch solution undergoes a comprehensive validation flow. This disciplined approach ensures that each product is thoroughly tested, optimized, and verified before it reaches our customers.

Engineering Validation Testing (EVT)

EVT is where ideas become reality. During this phase, we confirm the technical feasibility of the design and validate core functionality. This includes:

  • Verifying electrical and mechanical performance
  • Testing early prototypes under expected use conditions
  • Identifying potential design improvements early in the process

EVT ensures that the foundation of the product is solid before moving forward.

Design Validation Testing (DVT)

Once the engineering fundamentals are confirmed, we shift focus to durability and robustness. DVT evaluates how the product behaves in real-world environments, including:

  • Temperature cycling and thermal stress
  • Humidity and moisture exposure
  • Mechanical shock and vibration
  • Long-term wear and material fatigue
  • Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)

This phase ensures the design can withstand the environmental and operational challenges of its intended application.

Production Validation Testing (PVT)

The final step is validating the production process itself. PVT ensures that the product can be manufactured consistently, at scale, without compromising quality.

This includes:

  • Verifying assembly repeatability
  • Testing production samples for performance consistency
  • Ensuring stable supply chains and material quality
  • Confirming that manufacturing tolerances remain within specification

PVT gives our customers confidence that every unit, not just the prototypes, will perform reliably.

40+ Years of Expertise in Materials and Testing

Reliability is not only about testing, it’s about knowing what to test, how to test, and which materials and technologies will deliver the best long-term results.

With more than four decades of experience, ClickTouch has developed deep expertise in:

  • Material selection for harsh environments
  • Long-term durability assessment
  • Failure mode analysis
  • Environmental and lifecycle testing
  • Industry-specific compliance requirements

This knowledge allows us to anticipate challenges before they arise and design solutions that stand the test of time.

100% Functional Testing, No Exceptions

Before any ClickTouch product leaves our manufacturing facilities, it undergoes 100% functional testing. Every unit is individually verified to ensure:

  • Correct electrical performance
  • Accurate touch or sensing behavior
  • Stable firmware operation
  • Compliance with customer specifications

This final step ensures that our customers receive products they can trust, every time.

Why Our Validation Approach Matters

Choosing ClickTouch means choosing reliability that has been engineered, tested, and proven. Our rigorous validation process delivers:

  • Consistent performance across all units
  • Reduced field failures and downtime
  • Longer product lifecycles
  • Faster time-to-market through structured testing
  • Confidence in mission-critical applications

When reliability matters, our validation process makes the difference.

What to choose? The difference between capacitive and resistive touchscreens

When designing a touchscreen, you have a choice between capacitive and resistive technology. Both offer advantages and limitations. We present both technologies and discuss in which situations and fields they offer you the best solution. Because the choice you make depends upon the application. Capacitive vs resistive touchscreens Let’s start by distinguishing between resistive and…

High tech, low footprint

Enabling Industry 4.0 In recent years, sustainability and durability have become important aspects of the manufacturing industry. Companies are increasingly looking at ways to reduce their carbon footprint and have a smaller impact on the environment while still producing high-quality products. The supply chain has always been a major cost factor for most manufacturing facilities,…

ClickTouch is now an Infineon Preferred Design House

ClickTouch has been approached by Infineon to become a Preferred Design House (PDH). ClickTouch is the first PDH in Europe in the domain of “TrueTouch and PSOC”. There are only 13 PDH’s worldwide for all types of microcontrollers. The main goal for Infineon’s preferred design houses is to provide technical support and ensure that a…
